Air Travel Etiquette

Board in your group.  The plane is not going to take off just because you bum rushed the boarding process.

Do not put your carry on bag in the overhead bins in the front of the plane.  Your bag belongs with you, just like their bag belongs with them.

When you have the aisle or the window seat in a 3 seater row, remember that middle person should have access to the arm rests so they are not wound like a mummy.

When deboarding the plane, WAIT your turn.  Each row is given the opportunity to exit and most of the time people respect it, however you will get that one person that rushes and practically hits everyone back into their seats to get off. And no they did not have a connecting flight to catch.

If you valet checked your bag, line up along the wall so that other passengers can get by you and don’t have to fight to get past you (just like the flight attendant told you).

You have a roller bag. Congratulations.  It’s not a dog that you just drag behind you and now you no longer have any responsibility for it. If you have a 4 wheeled roller, keep it straight and next to you. If you only have a two roller roll it in front of you while walking down the tarmac.

Ahhhh, the joys of plane travel. Now if only everyone could be thoughtful.
