New Orleans is often considered one of the spookiest cities in America as the state is filled with haunted-theme hotels and concerts. The official “Krewe of Boo” parade is also held in this city during the Halloween season and many tourists come out to see the event every year.
 

Salem, Massachusetts

Salem is the city that is world-famous for their 1692 Salem witch trials. During the period, nearly 200 women and men were found guilty of practicing witchcraft and 20 were executed. The Salem Witch Museum explains the history of the occurrence and helps visitors understand why and how the skepticism of witchcraft was developed.
